Saturday Shite with Miriam

See what I did there? Shite rhymes with night, and I thought the program was shite. So, instead of saying Saturday Night with Miriam, I said Saturday Shite with Miriam.
That might just be the most horrific piece of television ever broadcast in this country, and I didn’t even bother putting in what appeared to be Dickie Rock having several mini-strokes. I don’t know much about the ‘comedian’ Dave Young, but he’ll probably be coming to a cruise ship near you in the next few weeks. I wonder if Tony Fenton is Dave’s voice coach. Dave’s material was even worse than that guy who appeared on the Late Late Show with his jaw-droppingly shit Facebook Guide to the Recession.
“One sheet.. one sheet does plenty.. ONE SHEET DOES PLENTY.
Plenty o’what?!”
Or what about his wonderful joke about the audience being on drugs. It was so funny he tried it twice and hoped nobody would notice.
Watching this gave me a strange glimpse into my future in a nursing home.
Data Education Week

Data storage issues are at the forefront of today’s information world, and that’s why Miriam O’Callaghan, in conjunction with various data/technology experts from Cork, today launches Data Education Week. One of the objects of the campaign is to demistify the whole backup process, and educate about the pros and cons of various formats. People will be educated about the need to spread data across multiple formats and devices. It’s not an industry-oriented campaign, in fact it’s more about data storage in its simplest forms; the everyday concerns of people like you and I.
