Fake Babies

baby doll Fake Babies

The phenomenon of lifelike baby dolls is unsavoury to say the least. The buyers are predominantly damaged women, and probably the odd pdf file as well. It would be the height of hilarity to purchase one of these creepy looking monstrosities and then take it out for the day in a pram (as some nutjobs do). The look on people’s faces as they watched you throw it under the wheels of a truck or fling it into a canal would be priceless.

So you have women buying fake babies and men buying fake women.

Gaudy

1 :  ostentatiously or tastelessly ornamented
2 : marked by extravagance or sometimes tasteless showiness : outlandish <gaudy lies> <gaudy claims>; also : exceptional <a gaudy batting average>
synonyms gaudy, tawdry, garish, flashy, meretricious mean vulgarly or cheaply showy. gaudy implies a tasteless use of overly bright, often clashing colors or excessive ornamentation <circus performers in gaudy costumes>. tawdry applies to what is at once gaudy and cheap and sleazy <tawdry saloons>. garish describes what is distressingly or offensively bright <garish neon signs>. flashy implies an effect of brilliance quickly and easily seen to be shallow or vulgar <a flashy nightclub act>. meretricious stresses falsity and may describe a tawdry show that beckons with a false allure or promise <a meretricious wasteland of casinos and bars>.

I love gaudy things. Minimalism is great for technological design, but in everyday life I like the things that surround me to be messy. Covered in bits of glue, beads and paper. Anywhere that I have lived, eventually gets smothered in these things sooner or later. I can not have a blank wall staring back at me. I think the mood I generally aim for is “Gypsy Caravan“.

This is the first image that appears when I used Google Image Search for gaudy. I think this is the epitome of what I love in colour, art, and design.

Where the name ‘Big Mental Disease’ came from

In case anyone ever wondered. The name was inspired by a humorous line in Japan: A Story of Love and Hate.

Faking Mental Illness

TWO WEIRDOS Faking Mental Illness

Faking mental illness is easy. All you have to do is scream a bit and look frightened.

A Swedish art student was fined 2,500 kronor (€245.45) today for faking mental illness for an art project.

Stockholm District Court convicted 35-year-old Anna Odell of violent resistance and dishonest conduct, but acquitted her of charges of raising a false alarm.

The court said Odell resisted attempts by police and hospital staff to restrain her while acting suicidal on a bridge in Stockholm in January.

The artist said she was re-enacting a real episode in her life in 1995 and wanted to highlight how patients are treated in Sweden’s psychiatric wards.

The videotaped enactment was harshly condemned by health authorities in Sweden and stirred debate about the legal boundaries of art.

I have been pretending to be mentally stable for the past four years. Does that mean I get a fine?

I HATE YOU ALL SO MUCH. I TALK TO TEDDIES.
