The Herald ran a piece yesterday about the collection of drunks, junkies and all-round malcontents at the Connolly stop on the Luas Red Line. A few passengers recounted their experiences at the stop, where groups of booze-hounds gather every day to discuss English Romanticism and the fallacy of youth, while throwing empty cans and dog droppings at passers by. Then follows the usual guff blast from top brass at Veolia Tranport, who remind everyone how much they’re aware of the problem and how they’re doing everything they can to remedy the situation.
