Fair City cast hears rumours of more paycuts ahead
I’m pretty sure that this smug windbag would be on many Irish people’s top 10 list of ‘TV characters you would most like to kick in the face’. Lookit lookit lookit Dermut Dermut lookit lookit.
What do your family and friends think about Jo Fahey?
They love her as does the public.

That’s fair stupid.
In this clip of Fair Gritty, Barry worries that Bozo’s carelessness might have created a trail leading straight back to him. This is the same Barry who doesn’t seem to be at all worried about the fact that he has been sending emails and updating social networks from his laptop on behalf of the woman he killed. No, there’s absolutely no way that the police can trace that kind of thing. How would you go about tracing an email? Emails are invisible, so they don’t really exist. You certainly can’t get DNA off of an email.

Soap Update

Fair City producers have defended controversial storylines due to air on the programme later in the year.
A sensational upcoming plot sees Carrigstown’s resident busybody tramp Barry O’Hanlon inflicting regular and vicious beatings on disabled children.
Pat Nolan, who plays Barry on the hit RTÉ soap opera, said that the scenes will be sure to “knock viewers’ socks off” when they air later this year.
“It’s heartbreaking stuff,” said Nolan during his milk round in Ranelagh yesterday. “Barry’s in a bad place right now and he’s liable to do anything.”
The long-running drama caused controversy last year with a graphic domestic abuse storyline.
Men’s rights organisations claimed that the storyline actually caused a sharp increase in domestic violence against males, as the ridiculous writing and acting made female on male abuse look hilarious.
Brigie de Courcy, executive producer of Fair City, has denied that the upcoming storyline is gratuitous, commenting that Fair City has a long history of turning serious social issues into bizarre, badly-acted imitations of reality.
Soap Update
On Fair City this week, new character Cliff Oranges is shocked to find out that the mother who abandoned him all those years ago is a hideous freak.
