Political Pricks

Thank God for the European Elections, Mary Lou McDonald must think. It’s time for her to secure her future on the gravy train, two years after she tried and failed to move even higher.  “Now is the time to tell them what you think.” Mary Lou cares what the people think, even though the last time they told her what they think it was to tell her that she wasn’t wanted. You can’t blame her though, she’s just doing what all politicians are doing, looking after number one.

The worst thing about this recession is that it gives careerist guff-merchants  a never ending source of material to score cheap political points.  They love exploiting public anger to get ahead. They’re all thinking of the prize. Tons of money for doing arse all. It’s such a cliché, but politicians really are a great big bunch of bastards. All the parties are as bad as each other.
