I would disagree with the author that Huxley not Orwell, was right. We do live in a chronically distracted society but there are also touches of Orwellian dystopia. Both writers had uncanny insights into the psychologies of human society, and their ideas can be viewed as synergistic.
synergy seems to be a real buzz word at the moment. Didn’t really know what it meant until I looked it up there.
I’m just happy that I finally found a use for the word outside of the corporate mindspeak!
Stupid personal fact for you… I’ve been using the word synergy since about 1991. It was used extensively by The Shamen in their music. Along with words like: eschatology, trans-amazonia, hyperspace, phorever and Ebeneezer.
