		<description>I agree, it&#039;s very depressing. Reminds me of an interesting homeless man I met in Cork a few years back, he was highly entertaining. He told me about a relationship he had with a homeless woman and how she dyed the colours of the rainbow in his hair while he was passed out.</description>

Mentally ill, strung-out on drugs, various health problems, often turned away from over crowded shelters.

Yet each homeless individual ends up costing most states upwards of $26 THOUSAND dollars in healthcare/rehabilitation/human services of one sort or another..when a fraction of that amount could simply be spent on providing low-cost or no-cost shelter and treatment for them.

Harrowing..beyond words.</description>
