Mike Stroud sent his video to one of my youtube accounts, and I feel I owe it to him to share his wonderful message. From what I can make out, Mike is a man, playing with the cards life has dealt him. Hang on, no – he’s actually literally playing with cards, as shown in the video. I apologise. Anyway, according to Mike, he has drowned in a river. Again. Stay out of the river, Mike. You’re not a fish, you’re just a man. Mike’s message is delivered earnestly, with a fair bit of fist-pumping. Just watching this video made me feel that I want to be saved too. Or is it shaved? I was blown away by the quality of production on this joint. It sounds like Tony Fenton and Gareth O’Callaghan got together in a shed with Mike and helped him lay it down.

I’m not sure whether Mike is saying that he has already been saved from the man he is, or if he needs to repeatedly be saved in order to stay away from the drink and smokes. I feel he’s not really clear on this point. Furthermore, if Mike is saved from the man he is, what does he then become? The man he isn’t? Well, at the end of the day, Mike is just a man, and in a way, aren’t we all men?
