Rollin’ Roller Derby
I love skating, and it was at age seven that I broke my wrist during a bad fall. Landing on your bottom also hurts something awful, especially if it is right on your coccyx.
Roller Derby, an American sport that emerged in the 1920’s, is making a comeback. There is even a Dublin Roller Girls group. It is the subject of the film “Whip It“, starring Ellen Page and Drew Barrymore (actress and director).
Rollerskating is great fun and doesn’t feel like you are doing exercise, much more interesting than pounding the treadmill in a packed gym.

Ricky Groves Tells How Dieting and Deceit Tore His Marriage Apart
His wife Hannah Watermelon lost three stone – then dumped him: Now Ricky Groves tells how dieting and deceit tore their marriage apart
When it was revealed last week that former EastEnders stars Ricky Groves and Hannah Watermelon had split up over Christmas, it was clear that the general public didn’t give two shits.
It is four months since Hannah, the daughter of Minder star Dennis Watermelon, made headlines with her dramatic weight loss, shedding three stone and radically altering her image in the process.

This website was thrown together with Firefox in mind, and I can see that some elements don’t display correctly in other browsers.
Here for example is a comparison of the comment boxes in a few different browsers:
Sweet New Look
A small bit of a makeover. Here’s to hoping that everyone else isn’t seeing everything in the wrong place. Every single Internet Explorer user will miss out on all those lovely curved boxes. To hell with them though, they can go down with their ship.
Apple

This was supposed to be a comment on Gamma Goblin’s article, but my OpenID has been bollocksed for ages so I can’t comment over there.
I do laugh at the hipster wannabe types who think they are more individual and less conformist by buying Apple products. The iPod heralded an explosion in those tossers. Funnily enough, the iPod itself is fond of exploding also. Apple ads are awful douchebaggery indeed. I had Macintosh computers from 1993 to 2002 and I loved them dearly, but at the same time, they were flimsy pieces of shit that seized up every twenty minutes, with very poor choice of software. I can’t believe how bad the iMac G3 keyboard was. I still shudder at its memory. And that awful mouse. Occasionally though, I do miss OS 7.6 and it’s little eccentricities. I am not too fond of the current OS. I would like to get a Mac again one day, when my plastic shit factory moves into profitability.
